Halesowen Skip Hire Terms and Conditions
  • The maximum hire time of skips for customers is 1 week unless otherwise agreed when the skip is booked and paid for.
  • Strictly no HAZARDOUS WASTE: This includes asbestos, fridges/freezers, tyres, gas bottles, any kind of battery, upholstered/padded furniture containing POPS or any liquid wastes including paint and oil or slurry.

    An additional charge may be levied for handling hazardous items hidden within the load &/or the skip will not be taken until the hirer has removed the restricted items.

    Should this occur then
    1) You will be responsible for the correct disposal of the Hazardous Item
    2) Your skip hire fee will not be refunded (either partially or full) with regards to a part-filled skip.

  • Plasterboard offcuts or pieces and unused gypsum/plaster is accepted but they must be bagged to prevent load contamination, if you require a bag to enable separation then please ask the driver on delivery.
  • You must be the owner of the property on which the skip is placed or have the permission/consent of the owner prior to allow a skip to be placed on their property
  • Skips are heavy and get heavier as items are placed within them, accordingly the company accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to any driveways, lawns or slabbed areas or to any area where you instruct the driver to place the skip. Any damage caused is the sole responsibility of the person hiring the skip/property owner.
  • The hirer of the skip will be reported to the relevant authorities and fined by the council or Environment Agency if asbestos is deposited &/or found in the skip.
  • Load level – overloaded skips will be charged extra, any load which is considered dangerous will not be moved until it is loaded level.- Take care when placing items in the skip and ensure they are placed securely within the skip. The company is not responsible for any damage caused to fences, walls or driveways caused by careless or unsafe loading.
  • If the skip is on the road, the skip will be collected without informing the customer when a permit is finished.
  • Please ensure you are present when the driver arrives to agree on the position of your skip. If you are not there then the driver will select the position most convenient- we will not return to move the skip without a handling charge.
  • You must not move the skip once the driver has positioned it – if you move the skip into an inaccessible area then you will be invoiced for the cost of a replacement skip.
  • Strictly no fires or hot ash being placed in the skip.
  • Payment for skip is required on or before delivery, an additional charge will be levied for any other reasons, as explained in the text above.
  • The customer needs to provide suitable access to the site for equipment – if you request the skip be placed somewhere inaccessible, such as “in my back garden” when the driver arrives and the skip cannot be unloaded as requested then a) The skip must be placed in an alternative location or b) not delivered at all. In this case a handling charge equal to the initial fee will be charged and no refund (either full or partial) will be given.
